About Cate

Cate Ray writes twisty suspense with empowering messages. Passionate about writing from an early age, she creates stories for readers to treasure and share. 

Cate's North America debut, GOOD HUSBANDS, was a Barnes & Noble Booksellers' Favourite, US Apple Best Book, Walmart Canada Read of the Month, and Kobo Best in Mystery & Thriller, and a LoveReading Staff Pick of the Week in the UK.

Prior to this, she was the author of 4 novels published in the UK as Cath Weeks. Her emotional novel BLIND was nominated for the Waverton Good Read award and earned her recognition as an “Author to Watch” by ELLE.

A favourite with book clubs, her novels have been selected by Evening Standard, Closer and Woman & Home. On her road to publication, her prize-winning short story was produced and broadcast by the BBC. 

 Born and raised near Bath, Somerset, Cate wrote short stories and poetry as a child, and in her teens won first prize in a national writing competition. She lived in London and Paris, before returning to Bath where she lives with her family.
