Cate Ray is a British author known for her emotionally charged thrillers. Her breakout U.S. debut, Good Husbands, was a Barnes & Noble Booksellers' Favourite. Her follow up, The Younger Woman, continues her tradition of compelling storytelling.
The author of four novels published in the UK as Cath Weeks, her unique debut, Blind, was longlisted for the Waverton Good Read award and she was named an "Author to Watch" by ELLE.

Cate grew up near Bath, Somerset, and began writing at a young age. She studied English at Loughborough University and won a national writing competition. On the road to publication, she self-published two novels and her prize-winning short story was produced and broadcast by the BBC.
Before becoming a full-time author, she worked in magazine publishing in London and also lived in Paris, before returning to the city of Bath, where she lives with her husband and two sons.
Cate is also a musician. A trained pianist and flautist, she taught herself alto sax as a teen and composed music. Sometimes she's asked to play piano at weddings, in return for cake.
She's currently working on her latest novel.
